The therapists at Guardian Health Care have been mostly phenomenal. My mom had a stroke a couple of months ago and was placed in a rehab center in Waxahachie where she was given very little attention. Thankfully, she was released after a very short visit when Guardian stepped in. She gets physical therapy twice a week from Doug who is amazing. My mom loves working with him. He motivates her to work hard and and encouraged her to keep a "I think I can" attitude. She has come so far while under his care.
Then there is her speech therapist, Alicia. She is another amazing therapist with a very kind heart. She has worked with my mom twice per week in helping her with her words and doing exercises to strengthen her memory. She's precious and my mom has excelled with Alicia's help.
Her Occupational Therapist, Maria has worked consistently with my mom to help her with certain exercises to help her build up strength to do every day things around the house.
Then there is Jennifer who comes around 2 times per week to help my mom with her shower. My mom feels very comfortable with Jennifer and loves feeling squeaky after her shower.
Mindy, my mom's nurse is the most gifted human being I have met in a long time. She cares so deeply for her patients and my mom has received great care under the hands of this amazing nurse and human being. My mom's BP was extremely high so Mindy stuck around longer than her schedule would allow to recheck my mom's BP. When it was still too high, Mindy called me (daughter) to voice her concern. She also called our doctor to let him know. Once her BP was under control, Mindy left but stopped back by to make sure my mom was okay before she headed home for the day. Now that is going way beyond the call of duty. Even my doctor was impressed by her caring attitude.
Last by not least, any time I have a question, concern or just want to talk, June is the lady who seems to run this group. I"m not sure what her title is but she is always very calm and very kind. She knows her job and has helped me understand so many things about insurance , rehab centers and home health.
I don't know how I would have survived without the help of these fine professionals.
