I would never send my kids back to Connally High School. For starters, the teachers are not there for the better of the students. On several occasions my teens work was misplaced by the teacher and had to redone in order to have credit for it. On occasions, my teens report card reflected failing grades, which is not normal, when I called to speak with the teacher, she had submitted the wrong grades for my student. From what my student has told me, the teachers are vulgar and discuss topics with the kids that they should not be discussing. One teacher went as far as telling her class that if a school shooting was to take place that the kids would have to defend themselves that she was only worried about getting herself to safety. These are the people that are suppose to be helping us parents get our kids ready for the world and that is not the example I want set for my kid. At the beginning of the year, I put money on my teens lunch account, by the end of the week, while getting lunch, he was told there was no money on his account and that he could not eat. The cafeteria had been charging another students lunches to his account. For starters, who would tell a kid that they can NOT eat? Second, why does this school have such a hard time with organization. The main office is difficult to work with, they are unorganized (like the rest of the school) and unable to help with anything. The school ,honestly, does not even deserve the one star. On top of it all, the bathrooms don't even have doors on them. My student claims that the bathrooms are so filthy that my student holds it until he gets home at 5 everyday. He claims that students wipe feces on the walls and floor. The school needs new faculty and staff with a better evaluation on how to teach and maintain their students. I will now be adding an hour to my daily routine to transfer my students to a better school.
