I have a very strong willed son, his kindergarten teacher was wonderful and really took the time to work with him. The principal, however would look for reasons to send him to ISS. His first grade teacher had absolutely no patience with him, although acknowledging how smart he is, she only cared that he had a hard time sitting still and would send him to ISS instead of recess to punish him. In fact he spent more time in ISS than he did the classroom, and he is not a bad child who did bad things. He was convinced,because of her however, that he was a bad kid. I asked for a classroom switch, which they honored a week trial in a different class, and said we would have a meeting to discuss. He loved that class, made friends, was eager to learn... and They never would schedule the meeting. My son has been at Rice elementary now for one week and the difference in his morale, as well as excitement for school has done a complete 360. His teacher loves him, he loves going to school again. I wish I would have switched him so much sooner!! If your child is anything but perfect, you may want to consider another school as they like it to be more like a military school for young children at Andy Woods. Zero tolerance for kids being kids.

My twins girls been attending this school since Kindergarten they are now going to 4th grade, I love the staff also the secretary Mrs. Kim go above and beyond to help with concerns of your child, this is an amazing school.
