My time with them was nothing but trouble the staff hated me I always got bullied by the other residents and the staff thought it was funny I had some new Nike Kd’s I bought they took them from me because I forgot to do a chore or something I never got them back a lot of my good clothes just got stolen over time the resident manager Tracy Williams is probably the worst resident manager I’ve ever met very unprofessional and just plain rude made my entire time with them hell

As an adult, I now know that the things I experienced and watched other children experience too was not my imagination. After many attempts at running away because of the abuse I was forced to sleep naked on the cold tile floor with just a sheet. I can no longer sleep with any light on at all and I pray that something is done before more stories like mine and others are made.

This place was horrible. There were mattresses that had enormous holes in them that they made kids sleep on. I failed to graduate high school because of these people, I now have a general education diploma. Their staff was biased, rude, racist, and borderline violent. There was no real existent program. They made us go to individual therapy and group therapy once a week, which consisted of one of the special needs children acting out and causing myself and the other children to sit there for hours until the therapist decided he was tired. The facility director would make promises to take kids on outings and then back out at the last minute when everyone was ready to go. That outing was nothing more than going to Cici's pizza. They don't celebrate birthdays. The children do Nothing more than sit there, doing anything else would end up in some rule being violated in some way. We were punished for not going to church, though we were told that not going to church was perfectly fine. In fact, we were made to sit in the great hall and face the wall: talking resulted in disciplinary action and we were not allowed to do anything else, including being in our room sleeping or reading. I can't think of other things right now, but I'm sure I will in the future.
