Its good to know that there are still honest, good, kind, hard working people in this world. I have been searching for a reliable, affordable mechanic shop since moving here a year ago. Ivan is the mechanic here and is a man of his word, Arianna is the receptionist and is absolutely awesome. I recommend them highly if you are in need of any mechanic work.

Friendly and good work, but deals dishonestly. I was stuck from out of state and walked into Retro Garage. They told me that a tow from Walmart (less than a mile) would be around $60 and that labor for a starter replacement (I already had the starter) would be $120-$160. After the work was done they charged me $120 for the tow and $250 for the labor. That is not honest or fair. When I asked why the price was so much higher they said it is a 2.5 hour charge rate for a starter replacement (I can understand charge rates for services, but the charge rate did not change between the quote and the work) (it took just less than an hour, I did ask about estimate for further work, but that was not done. the starter repair itself was an hour only. They claim free estimates for work so that time should not be chargeable). For them to upcharge me nearly $200 (double the price quoted!) after the work was done is dishonest and not right. edit-you did not have my vehicle for 3-4 hours, I was only there about 90 minutes total. I was never informed of an increase in the towing charge. I did complain about the price in person before leaving. Now you are saying you had to charge more because of financing to make it over $300? That is also dishonest.
