When we went to buy life insurance policies Darren laid out all the options and thoroughly explained them. He was clear and concise and we were able to make a confident decision. We also have our home insurance with him. The ladies in his office are very friendly and helpful, and one of them even called me and informed me when she thought I should be getting another discount!

As a college student every single dollar must be used prudently and frugally. Car insurance is one of those necessities down here in Texas and since I bought a new car comprehensive coverage is required. Before purchasing a policy with Darren Boone State Farm I was with GEICO, and I was paying a premium there of $138/month even with them knowing of my TWO infractions on my driving record that occurred in December 2009. And after being with GEICO for one year it was time to shop for a new policy since they didn't lower my premium and I knew after 3 years driving records are wiped clean, that's when a representative at Darren Boones office promised me a rate of $122/month and I understood that as a 22 year old male a rate lower than that would be impossible to acquire so I gave State Farm my routing number and account number only to shockingly find out two months later how bad of an idea that was. My first two premiums for September 2012 and October 2012 were $122, I had that amount budgeted for my middle of the month $300 paycheck I earn as a part time teller at Chase bank, then on November the 17th I check my balance and find out I am negative ($53) because State Farm debited $208 from my account. Again, that's TWO HUNDRED AND EIGHT DOLLARS out of a checking account belonging to an already struggling COLLEGE STUDENT without ANY KIND OF PRIOR NOTICE. I was in disbelief and left wondering why? I was charged an overdraft fee which wasn't refunded and I called the 24 hr State Farm customer service line and they couldn't help me, I had to wait until that following Monday to get an email from a rep at Darren Boone's office contending that the "underwriter" raised my premium since my December 2009 infractions wouldn't fall off until March 2013. Can you BELIEVE THAT? I desperately needed those $208 refunded so I canceled my policy immediately, and the rep TOLD ME my refund would be around $180 or so since I canceled my policy 3 or 4 days into the new period therefore my refund would be "pro-rated" or something like that. 2 weeks later I get a refund check in the mail for $77... SEVENTY SEVEN BUCKS. UNBELIEVABLE. The explanation I got from the rep as to why my refund amount was so low was because I "short-paid the 2 months of Sept. and Oct". I felt lied too, taken advantage of, and disgusted at Darren Boone's office. I was basically robbed and I still never got my overdraft charge refunded. As a college student... my pocket is still hurting.
