After comparing quotes from several contractors, I selected Mike Freeman and his team for the renovation of my backyard. My yard presented some challenges, as there was limited usable space, a small square patio, and a narrow grassy area next to a steep hill filled with rocks and weeds. The plan was to build into the hill to expand the overall size of the yard. I envisioned a spacious open patio on the hill featuring a seating area with a fire pit, all surrounded by landscaping. Additionally, I wanted to upgrade my existing patio by adding a built-in grill and refrigerator with a bar-height seating area, creating a seamless design that flowed from my back door all the way up the hill. Mike understood my vision and proposed creative ways to reduce costs without compromising quality. His ability to work within my budget while delivering a high-impact, usable space is what convinced me to go with his team. I incorporated Mikes suggestions and used the savings to include other add-ons that wouldn't have been feasible within the original budget, including some work in my front yard. Once work commenced, Mike's team handled communications and correspondence with the city for permitting, which was a challenging aspect of the project. They worked efficiently once permits were obtained, completing the entire project in approximately 8 weeks. The final result was not only beautiful but also functional and cost-effective. Lastly, Mike and his team went the extra mile by replacing a few plants that didn't survive the latest freeze at no additional cost. Their patience, professionalism, and creativity transformed a problematic space into a backyard that I'm proud to showcase.
