We interviewed several builders before deciding on Betty and Veranda. The difference for us was not only the quality of the construction, but we liked that Betty was an interior designer and a builder. Her designer skills were very helpful in the architectural design and the build out. They were also the only builder that recommended the geothermal heating and cooling system, which we are very pleased with. Mike Kerr was our project manager. He not only clearly knows all aspects of the construction process but he also personally made some of our custom features, and did a fabulous job with them. The process itself went about as smooth as you could expect for a project this size. We hired our own architect, but Betty was involved with the design from the beginning. Im sure if we had gone with another builder, we would have ended up with a nice house. However, knowing the contribution of Betty and Mike to what we had visualized and the architects final plans, we wouldnt have ended up with the amazing house that we did. We have nothing but great things to say about Betty Baker and the team at Veranda Designer Homes! We have built or remodeled 7 homes all over the US. In the Fall of 2020, after significant water damage to our Westlake home, we had to gut the entire first floor. After talking to several builders, we were lucky enough to meet Betty and her team! From the moment Betty walked through the door, she listened, asked lots of questions, and offered advice and suggestions. There was no pressure, just ideas. You really get a two-for-one with Betty- half designer and half builder! She has a designer's eye with a builder's knowledge! She won't let you make a mistake and works tirelessly to make sure your vision comes to life! We've NEVER had a builder go to such painstaking work to coordinate the paint colors, countertops, floors and cabinets. There's a beautiful flow of colors, lighting, even cabinet and door hardware that we could never have achieved on our own. Betty and her team have an excellent eye and the patience to coordinate all the details that can overwhelm their clients. They make the complicated easy and fun to understand. If you can imagine it, they can make it happen. We know Veranda has added a lot of value to our home! We've been back home for 5 months and our remodel is more than we could have hoped for! All the elements blend together beautifully, better than any other house we have had. We are already looking forward to building another house with the Veranda team!!! Service: Remodeling

Best decision we ever made was hiring Betty Baker and her amazing team to build our dream home. Mike Kerr was our construction manager and he made sure our house was built to our satisfaction. Betty and her team exceeded all of our expectations. Betty has such an eye for the tiny details that make a home so special. We interviewed some of the top builders in the metroplex when we were thinking about building. After seeing some of Bettys homes we knew we had to hire them. We were referred by my best friend. Veranda built their last two homes and they were not only tasteful, but built like fortresses. Betty Baker has an incredible business, and they are 100% committed to building a the very best quality home. Mike Kerr was our construction manager and I believe him to be one of the top construction professionals in the world. He is a true craftsman and an amazingly knowledgeable expert. I have personally witnessed tragically out of date spaces modernized to perfection; I've seen the saddest of circumstances, such as frozen pipes and flooding, turned into award winning spaces; I've seen neighborhoods transformed, the impossible imaged become real and daring dreams of spaces and designs come true. To say Betty knows what she is doing is an understatement. What is more remarkable is what I have not seen. I have never seen an unhappy customer, ever. I have never seen a strained or a broken relationship. I have never seen a sub-contractor sideways, and I have never seen a job, no matter how challenging, that resulted in anything but a masterful work of art. Am I a fan? Absolutely! Would I use Betty again! Most certainly! She is kind, capable, creative, and a gifted artist. She has a eye for the times, a head managing costs and timelines, the ear for her clients and the heart for her team.
