Sigma Mental Health Urgent Care

I am going to be truthful and share my thoughts and feelings about Sigma with no bad intentions. I have been to this business twice so far in my life, this most recent time, to me, was a little concerning. When I walked in, I was greeted by the very nice front desk staff, checked in, and immediately asked to pay. It's cash, 350$, and was not given a receipt of any kind. Weird, but maybe I get it after the visit. I am walked back to see the Dr. and I get through my session. We all seem a little bit confused on why I am there, so I explain everything I can in the time I have (1 hour). My Dr (I apologize, she introduced herself to me once and never again) at the end of the session, began to tell me the medications she wants me to take, with no other information aside from what it's called, what it does and that it may give me a rash, but it's a good medicine. She also prescribes me a sleeping medication, but I truthfully do not know if I really, genuinely need it. They end the session and just open the door for me to leave, so I do. I am given no information about care, no resources for if I need help, no paperwork about these new medications and no receipt. I am very, very VERY nervous about this all, and I have e-mailed them about this issue, and will update this review as time goes on if I do not kill myself first. Wish me luck everyone. **Forgot to mention that she did say I needed therapy, which I do not deny, but that they offered it there for 175$ a session. This was after I told her that I was unemployed. It seems very exploitative and money grabby, but I am going to try and give this the benefit of the doubt. A lot of things are give and take; they were able to see me the next day that I called, and they did help. You cannot get that just anywhere.

Highly recommend this practice! The doctors and staff are dedicated, caring and knowledgeable. Their care is comprehensive, team oriented and focused on the "whole patient".

I was visiting family for a transitional move for a parent and had a mental crisis. They got me in within an hour and Dr. Deuter was amazingly helpful. Got the support and meds I needed. So happy they were there!
