I went to this location specifically because I have VSP insurance through my work and since its a premier edge location you get a free exam & free 1 year warranty on frames. So I first took my son here in January for his exam with Estefany . Got his Nike glasses with transitions completely free and 2nd pair of Oakley glasses 40% off so $286.80 total for 2 pairs is not bad. I was also going to get him another pair of glasses through his dads insurance with eye med because they said they were in network then they werent. So ended up getting that pair at target optical for $35 even though they had the same sport glasses at Eye-Deal vision. I got my exam there 1/22/24 with Estefany prescription was great but when I went to get my Nike glasses with Heather she was saying they were $125 out of pocket. Which made no sense cause the frames were $200 and transitions were free and with Vsp its a preferred brand so you get an additional $40 to spend. So I said thats okay and purchased my oakleys with transitions at the eye doctors on sw military for $18. So that same day 1/22 my daughter paper cut herself on her eye lid at school. Eye deal vision was able to get same day medical eye appointment with Estefany and exam was good they were able to see no damage but wanted her to have another appt for an eye exam. So today 2/10/2024 she went with her dad for the eye exam with Estefany. I prefilled everything 2/09/2024 online. I went in when she was getting her glasses and they picked out her glasses decided on transitions. Heather was assisting them. I mentioned oh we will get 40% off a second pair later on with my insurance and she said no its 30%. I said no its 40% cause I got my sons second pair through here. I kept my daughters company so that way he can finish up ordering her glasses. Then when it was time to get the girls in the car when he gave me the receipt and it said $100 out of pocket. I looked and they charged $75 for transitions and $25 for exam. I said no thats not right and went back inside. I spoke with heather I said heather why is it $100 when its free through my insurance for exam and transitions. She said thats what your insurance shows. I said are you using VSP she said yes. I said thats not right cause I got mine and my sons glasses and the exams were free and transitions are free with my insurance. She said Im using your insurance and thats what it shows. I said Ill call my insurance right now. I called my insurance the rep called eye deal vision within 5 minutes of me leaving and the rep told me that heather stated she could not find my VSP insurance. So they used her dads insurance. Which all he provided was his photo ID when he took her in. But there was no mention of them not finding my VSP insurance while I was there to him or me when it was the only insurance mentioned on the pre check in information. [[The rep stated eye deal vision said oh that when they used it for her last exam which I find funny because I paid $89 out of pocket for her last exam it was a medical exam so either way no eye insurance would have covered it since it was a medical visit and not a traditional eye exam. it would have been free with VSP or $25 with her dads insurance either way not $89. If we went through her medical insurance we would have paid $125. ]] Eye deal vision rep called me back within a few minutes after speaking with the VSP rep and stated the exam and glasses were fully covered with the visit. I know this review is long. But I wanted to be thorough because the optometrist is amazing herself. The different options for frames is such a large variety. There was another woman there for frames not Heather but the one that goes to potranco location shes amazing. But Heather needs to stop doing what shes doing and take the extra couple of minutes with people instead of wasting our time. Because with this eye deal vision could have sold us 6 pairs of glasses instead of 3 pairs. I gave 4 stars because front desk rep has always been nice and courteous. Optometrist is great.

Easy 5 stars. Called and got a quick appointment. The staff was very welcoming, and the experience was very well coordinated. Very little wait between the paperwork and getting the exam started. Dr. Mendez was awesome, friendly, and very communicative. The optician helped me pick out some cool frames and the desk staff did a great job letting me know what my insurance (vsp) covered.
