Three star because staff was friendly food was good and the place was clean. However after a 5-day stay for our 101-year-old grandmother our review is as follows. The fact she was placed in front of the nursing station was great but the room itself had a shared bathroom no shower and no phone at all. She mentioned they did not even offer her a shower. Unacceptable. We toured the facility initially and read the reviews which is why we selected this one to try

My sister has been in several other nursing facilities over the past few years. A month ago she moved here and we wish she had found this place sooner. It is by far the cleanest and most welcoming place I've ever seen. The staff is polite and caring and the administrator Rita personally checks on her residents and goes above and beyond to make them feel respected and valued.

My cousin came to RCCC in late September after being in a dreadful, uncaring nursing home (78250) for 22 months. RCCCs staff is committed to their residents. They are kind and attentive. I wish Mary had found this place when she first came to San Antonio. You treated her like family, and gave her dignity and love. May you all be blessed for the kindness you show others.

TERRIBLE PLACE. DO NOT BRING YOUR LOVED ONES HERE. WHERE DID ALL THESE GREAT REVIEWS COME FROM????? -UNPROFESSIONAL and RUDE staff. -VERY UNORGANIZED-NO COMMUNICATION. -ENTIRE facility smells like URINE. -Used product wrappers found on the floor on EVERY visit. -Disgusting looking food. Dad hardly ate anything. -SMALL rooms-looks NOTHING like the photos on the website. (NO CHAIR FOR A VISITOR. We had to ASK for one.) -Loud talking and laughing by the staff. -LIES told to patient and/or family. Those poor PATIENTS. We finally pulled my 84-year-old father OUT OF THERE last night on Day 12. We HATED that place from Day 1. On our FIRST visit, this is what we encountered: Room was COLD. Dad was SHIVERING, and wearing just an adult diaper and covered with a sheet. No bed railings. Had to ask to give him a bath and they just did a bed bath despite the "luxurious" bathrooms. They take F O R E V E R to come when using the call button. (When the family is there visiting, they all seem to come into the patient's room though!) I could say much more about this place but then nobody would read this review because it would be SO LONG. I don't know HOW they stay in business. It's too bad I don't have any photos to show.
