Shay’s Peaceful Escape

I am 5 months postpartum and I wanted to treat myself to a self-care day. I found Shays Peaceful Escape on Facebook and decided to book a New Client Brazilian wax and Signature Facial. Plus, she wasnt too far from me in Bracken Village, which was what I wanted, some place in close proximity. I had to fill out forms about my skin and wax history prior to coming so she could know which products to have on hand, and to make sure I wasnt allergic to anything. I liked having the option to fill them out before the appointment so that we could start the services on time. Shay was very welcoming and the space was very clean and neat. She explained the services and step-by-step instructions which helped me feel at ease. Shay made me feel very comfortable and checked in with me often throughout my services to make sure I was ok, especially since I had a baby just a month prior. She was very thorough in the wax, using great lighting to make sure all hair was removed (and I mean all), and she didnt rush, which was also a plus. The facial was very relaxing. I liked the products used because it gave me an example of what I should be using for my daily face routine. Overall, I had a really nice time! We had great conversation about services and about life in general, and she was very professional and knowledgeable about her work. I highly recommend her for waxing (especially for African American women intimate waxes) and any self care services you may be in need of.

I got a full body scrub and facial. I loved everything about it. The ambiance was calming and smelled great. She was attentive, informative, and gentle with me during my pregnancy. I will definitely be coming back.

If you're looking for a place for relaxing and being pampered, this is the place to go. Shay was very attentive making sure I was very comfortable. I highly recommend this place. My second time getting aBrazilian wax and I will be back.
