Meridian Care of Monte Vista

am a friend or relative of a current/past resident if you care about your loved one, do not, AND I REPEAT DO NOT PLACE THEM IN THIS NURSING HOME. YOU ARE GOING TO ENCOUNTER UNEXPLAINED BRUISES, FRACTURES, UTI'S AND MUCH MORE . LYING AND COVERING UP BEGINNING WITH JOHN, THE ADMINISTRTOR OF THIS HORRIBLE PLACE DOWN TO THE OFFICE AND STAFF. MY HUSBAND WAS IN THIS FACILITY FOR 1 YEAR. THEY LED HIM FALL 18 TIMES. FRACTURED HIS HIP DUE TO BEING LEFT IN THE SHOWER AND WAS MADE TO LAY THERE IN PAIN UNTIL THE NEXT MORNING WHEN THE MORNING NURSE CAME IN. THE NIGHT NURSE NEVER EVEN MADE A REPORT ON HIS FALL.

Hi. I am Ginger Smith my hubby has been here 12 weeks . The staff and the cook has served great help and good tasting food , I do come here ar difference times of the day and alaways the rooms are clean bed is made up with clean sheets and blandet, He is help with kindness. We needed a qualified long care for my husband and found Meridian. He has been there since April 2022. I am so pleased with the quality of care that he receives. The nurses CNAs, and therapists are awesome as well as other staff members. They really seem to care about the residents along with their family members. From our experience I would highly recommend Meridian Monte Vista!

Finding a quality long-term care facility for a loved one is a tough job. I visited several facilities before taking my mom to visit Meridian Care Monte Vista. I am so thankful to Annette for truly listening to my concerns about my mom's well-being...and for holding my hand through the entire process of getting her admitted. My mom has been a resident at MCMV for almost four months. Since she was admitted during Covid, she was especially nervous. From the minute we pulled up, she was put at ease when Gennie came out to my car to administer a Covid test. Gennie took the time to talk to (and joke with) Mom while we waited for the test results. Mom took an immediate liking to her...as did I. The first month was rough as she has dementia and was adjusting to living in a new place, but I am so grateful for the wonderful staff who helped with that transition. They were (and are) so patient with her, and she is constantly telling me that the staff takes "such good care" of her. And I know that if anything unexpected happens, I can always reach out to Lisa for a quick response to any medical questions or concerns. I recently checked her out of the facility for an overnight stay at my house to celebrate her birthday. When I dropped her off at MCMV, she was welcomed back with smiles, hugs and "we missed you" messages. It helped that Jessica happened to be working the front desk that day...my mom adores her and her sweet personality. Upon entering her room, my mom literally said, "Oh, it's so good to be home." That statement made my heart so full, I had to turn away so she wouldn't see me cry. She loves her nurses, the staff, her room...the only thing she's complained about is missing clothes. I do put her name on everything, but clothes do tend to disappear (especially socks). This isn't a huge deal to me, though, as my mom's health and safety are the most important things to me. I am so grateful to the entire staff for treating my mom like family...and truly taking great care of her.
