I passed this historical marker, many many times, year after year, but I never made time to actually stop and read what was written on it.
This Sunday we decided to pull over and take a few minutes to read it and Im very happy that we did. I dont want to ruin it for anyone, but I was pleasantly surprised to find out that this lands were once inhabited by the Apaches and Comanches tribes. Im not gonna say anything more than that
I hope this marker will always be here to remind us that were all passing through and nothing is eternal.
Unfortunately this area has been under a drastic and unfortunate change lately, with all this new neighborhoods and subdivisions popping up like mushrooms after the rain; all this heavy traffic and this new technology changing the face of that beautiful and peaceful sights I once used to know.
