My primary care doctor sent a "referral order" over to these clowns several weeks ago for a procedure and I myself went onto their web site twice to set an appointment. I have not heard back from them. Guess what, the same thing happened last year (October).  If this place can not be trusted to do the most minimum of things then they are not to be trusted at all.

Watch out!  Do not use or trust them!  contacted this clinic about a procedure to dilate my esophagus. This is a common elective procedure. I asked about the price, and was told $900. I asked if there would be any other charges and was told no. I went ahead with the procedure and it seemed to go as planned. Two weeks after the procedure, I received a bill from a lab for $7,710! Yes, that is right, $7,710! Apparently, without my knowledge or consent, the doctor took a sample from my throat and sent it to them for testing. So now I have the headache of contesting and protesting a bill i never would have authorized. Obviously the amount is inflated. I expect the clinic is getting a kickback. All in the name of greed.

I feel the need to be frank about my experience with your billing department. The Friday before my colonoscopy I called and spoke with Jessica. Gave her my name and she pulled up my info. I asked her to tell me what my portion would be for the colonoscopy. She said FREE. I told her no, I had rectal cancer 15 years ago so Ive always had to pay. She went on to tell me since I have no symptoms and it has been 15 years they will bill my insurance as preventative which makes it FREE. She also went on to say if they deny it, they will appeal their decision. This will be free and it shouldnt be a problem. Before she tries to say this conversation never happened, all my calls are recorded. So color me shocked when in April I receive a bill for $900. I called up and spoke with Jessica who remembered our prior conversation. She said she would call the billing office and have them fix it from Colonoscopy Screening High Risk. She said if I get anything else to call her back. So another month another $900 bill. I call Jessica back and she tells me to call the billing office direct. I call and speak with Eric on May 29. Explain what is going on and that NO ONE HAS RESUBMITTED the correct CPT codes to BCBS. He says he will get with the person who does it and call me on Friday with an update. Friday no call. I call back Eric the next week and of course no one has done anything. He says he puts my billing on hold until they do what they are supposed to be doing. That wasnt done either because I am still getting monthly bills and no one from the Austin Billing office is following up, resubmitting the claim, or keeping me updated on what the hell is going on. Most likely all this is because Jessica screwed up in telling me it was free. If she did, she needs to call and apologize and her employment with the company needs to be looked at. I am going to pay this, but I am also going to file a complaint against Dr Hearnes medical license. Dont get me wrong I love Dr. Hearne, but that would make him aware of how incompetent his office is and for me to spend months of my time (time which I dont get paid for ) doing your job, someone has to pay.

Staff and doctors are very friendly and professional.  However, don't be surprised if they sneak in an extra bill or two.  Not pleased that a colonoscopy (free under my insurance) ended up costing $75.02.  Supposedly they charged for removal of two polyps.  Sorry, but I consider this a total rip off. Needless to say, neither my wife nor I will ever return to this practice.
