I am very disappointed in 1 Hope For Kids. I really feel as if the do not care about placing black children. My husband and I relocated to Texas to adopt a child because so many kids need a loving home here. We figured we would align ourselves up with a Christian organization, and WOW!!! My husband and I have completed everything and Jen Graves is constantly lying saying she waiting on backgrounds, when she has them all, because i have copies. We sent Julien all remaining documents and it has been over a week and no acknowledgement of receipt. Per Julien, once the remaining documents were in we could proceed with the preliminary interview. I speak with some lady from Nevada because I am so livid at the treatment we are receiving. Jen Graves and Julien will not even have enough respect to return emails. This lady, instead of her looking into our file like she said she would, she called me back telling me what Jen said. Then when she was speaking about the preliminary interview, she was very cold hearted, like she did not want to do it. She says to me that she suppose to do a preliminary interview and then she paused so long, I requested that someone else call me and told her bye. This is very disturbing. This organization has made so much money for the billable hours for my husband and I. They can constantly call and email about classes to make more money, but can't read email, record documents being received and request being completed. Jen constantly was asking us to provide them with information, so we do, but weeks later we are receiving the same request from her. Why are we being given the run around? My husband and I have paid out a lot of money and they have made a lot off us on a Federal and State level, so it's time for some answers. 05/01/2024 Update After submitting all the proof that Jen Graves received all the background checks and Julien received all requested information, Kristi Parker and the CEO called saying they did not think we should proceed because of us having trust issues in the staff. No, you and your Organization mess just caught up with you. There is no sense of urgency for this "Christian " organization to place a black child. We did not uproot ourselves for some grown adults who refuse to do their jobs and an organization that is more concerned about covering up for some staff, instead of the children needing homes. Like my Mother always told us, "Everyone that cry to be of God is not." This organization is not! This is something I will talk about on my radio show. This is very baffling.. Our poor children. Look at the attached photo, how many black kids do you see? God bless everyone ! Update....05/082024 I just received documentation from another agency showing me the lies the CEO and Kristi Palmer sent to them. Thank GOD we have laws that protect us. There is NOTHING Christ like about this organization, especially when it comes to blackchildren. I pray all of them fake Christian burn in hell. They are just money hungry and RACIST!!! They think they will stop our adoption, but the devil is a lie.

Our family had the opportunity to foster 3 children via 1 Hope for Kids. This organization is wonderful with training foster parents diligently in how to love and care for foster children from all backgrounds placed in our home. 1 Hope was incredible with providing emotional, educational, practical support during our fostering journey. Their staff is professional and caring. Our family never felt alone while fostering .If you feel called to foster, 1 Hope is a great organization to work with.

Oftentimes you might find an organization that you wish you could be a part of, but the time isnt right or you dont have the knowledge. 1HOPE for Kids is one of those organizations that I found out about that pulled my heartstrings tightly. I am so impressed with the processes, from introduction to education, policies, communication all the way to support for families and children who need their help. Families are put through some rigorous training to have the necessary skill sets to meet the needs of some special kids. This is crucial to make sure the family placement is perfect and these children who need love and care get what is available for them. Ongoing support and celebration of these families continue after placement. And if you havent heard what they do at Christmas..well you need to find out. I am not at a point in my life to foster, but I do have the ability to financially support this organization. I dont say that out of pride for myself, but only out of total pride for 1HOPE and their mission. If you have a moment to learn more about them, go to their website. If you want to pray for a place for God to bless your offerings, ask God if 1HOPE is the right place for your money. It is for me. GREAT JOB 1HOPE for Kids!!!

I cannot say enough positive things about 1Hope! They made training as convenient as possible for us, answered all our questions, and told us about the reality of being involved in the foster systemno sugarcoating! We really appreciated their candor, genuine care for our family, and the support for the kids coming into our home. The process was smooth from beginning to end. Once we had children placed in our home, our caseworker was accessible throughout the week and even on the weekend if needed. Supplies like diapers were provided to us regularly. Prayers were lifted up on our behalf. They hosted events throughout the year so we could connect with other foster families and also treat our kiddos to some fun. We built positive and loving relationships with the children in our care. We also did so with the entire 1Hope staff. I would highly recommend them to anybody interested in being a foster parent!

We love 1HOPE! We went through the training and fostered multiple children. These people are doing the true work of the Church, all with selfless love and dedication to children of every background. There is such a need for this type of ministry and 1HOPE is doing the true religion of caring for the orphan. I cannot recommend them more highly.
