I visited Dr. Shaun Maloney's office for a urology test in July 2018. The doctor spent about 10 minutes of his time. The office detailed all the charges and charged me $265 on my credit card (since I have no insurance) which they clearly said included the doctor visit and the tests. Later they sent me another bill for $45 and I paid that also. Then lo and behold I got an invoice from Clinical Pathology Laboratories ("CPL") for $183.25 for the tests. I sent them an email and called them to discuss with the doctor's office to clear it up. I also called the doctor's office who again confirmed that CPL should not be charging any money. A month later a second statement comes. At this point I am fed up and I will pay this. So this test which lasted less than 15 minutes will cost me over $480. This is what is called a highway robbery. Don't trust the doctor's office, nor the Clinical Pathology Laboratories. They are #1 frauds! Oh, did I tell you, the doctor said there was a small trace of blood in my urine, and wanted me to take a test costing $1650, though he did in fact say that this is a condition that is nothing to lose your sleep over, but wanted to confirm. Thank God, I didn't!
