The salesman was dismissive with his responses after the contract was signed when deciding on color and after installation when there was a problem with noise on windy days. The management/owners of the company wouldn't respond to phone calls or email through this process. The project manager was responsive and made sure the problem was taken care of.

Peter & Ryan don't build roofs like other companies do. They recognize that by not cutting corners and including features that are not common in TX, they protect both their customer's interests, and their own reputation. My story: I'm an engineer with an eye for detail and a lot of questions. After a lot of due diligence, I contracted Alpha to replace my roof after the 2020 hailstorms. Following installation, I had a licensed inspector who is a retired, double degreed engineer, inspect the roof. All I can say is that he described the quality of the installation as "exceptional". Spin forward to 2023: we just got hit with the third worst hailstorm in Austin's history: baseball sized. The vast majority of my neighbors, all of whom had new roofs since 2020, are dealing with punctures and many have some water damage. We did not even lose a single shingle. Sure, we have some blistering, and our roof needs to be replaced, but not having to deal with all of the water damage is frankly priceless. To Peter, Ryan and all at Alpha; I know that this review is a long time coming, but we sincerely thank you for the quality of your work.

These guys are the absolute BEST!The ultimate gauge of whether a company honor its words is if they stand behind their warranty promise (ie. after they have received their payment).   Well, this happened to me a year after our roof was replaced.  They came out in 48 hours, and got everything squared away.  I was really expecting a bit of a back and forth, but none of that, THANK YOU!While I hope I don't need to call you again anytime soon (who wants hail, right?), but if it happens, you will be on my speed dial.  You guys are amazing -- from communication, to fast response, and crew workmanship!

tl;dr: would definitely call these guys again with any roofing issues.I had a very small job involving a roof vent that several roofers in the area didn't seem to want to bother with -- mainly they just hemmed and hawed and dithered in providing information about cost and time frame, giving the clear impression that the job wasn't worth their time.  (Hey, probably it wasn't, but still not a good look to future customers.)  But Darryl with Alpha Roofing called me back within 10 minutes and took my "insignificant" job seriously.  He took the time to explain to me over the phone what he thought the issue was and explained exactly what he thought fixing it would entail, with a lot more explanation than any of 4-5 other highly rated roofing companies on Yelp had bothered to give.  He scheduled a visit just two days later.  We both thought he'd need to do a quick inspection and schedule a follow-up visit to get a small crew to do the work.  But when he saw the issue, he went to the truck to get his roofing boots and just climbed up on the roof himself to fix my vent in less than 5 minutes.  Moreover, he also did a quick look at all my other vents to see if they had issues, and reported they all looked good.  And he charged me a song, refusing the full amount we'd agreed, on the grounds that the job hadn't been even as involved as he'd thought it would be.So a massive thanks to Darryl and to Alpha Roofing.  It was a tiny job, but these guys certainly earned my business on the next big job I might have, over all those other "five-star" Austin roofers on Yelp that wouldn't take me seriously.
