Been here a year and been very happy Rooms: Need new carpets or wood floors instead would be only comment

First the good: the staff were all kind, attentive, and willing to be helpful to us throughout our stay. They are lovely and should be commended. The location isn't bad with it being near the mainstreets and stores which are walkable and also deliver. However, this hotel was not up to my standards and frankly it was lousy. We found trash left in the kitchenette, roaches were an issue we discovered on our last day, and it just wasn't very clean. Notably myself and my companion suffer from asthma which appearedbto worse every night we stayed there with him coughing constantly the 4 day until we left the hotel. That is alarming and makes me concerned for what may be in the carpet, AC, or the bathroom ventilation. It's an old hotel, the halls have an odd smell, everything is dated and mismatched, and the water pressure was low for the showers. The shower head was also gross with deposit build up. Unlike more modern extended stay America's this one comes with not dishware however sprouts and target are nearby for that. The grab and go breakfast had unlabeled coffee and hot water cans with packs of what appeared to be hostess muffins. That was pretty neutral. Overall, I regret staying here for the eclipse. It was not relaxing.
