    We had a newborn session back in the beginning of January for our daughter. Weeks went by and we never received photos until I reached out to Susan to which she had finally sent them for us to pick the 15 included in the package we purchased. Unfortunately, our daughter had to undergo a couple surgeries which included us being busy with doctors appointments and unable to select the photos we wanted immediately. We had finally sent them over towards the end of April but never received our final edited photos. We have been trying for months to get in contact with her through phone calls, text messages, emails, social media and her website but she never responds to any of them. Its absolutely devastating to have this experience because we will never be able to recreate those photos with another photographer to have the memories. Her lack of communication and professionalism is the reason we will never recommend nor use her again.

    Susan had a promotion for a newborn session. I purchased the session and was unable to use it since my baby was in the NICU. Susan was kind enough and offered to use the session at a later date. My baby was inpatient for 13 months. I reached out to Susan weeks before her 1st birthday and asked if she could come to the hospital and do a birthday smash session. Again, Susan was kind enough and said yes. Even though she had never taken pictures at the hospital, she would be fine in doing so. I sent her pictures of what I would like as a backdrop and what we couldn't use at the hospital, etc. A week before the scheduled session, Susan ghosted me. I was worried. I didn't know if she would show. The day of the session she sent me a message and said she was in an accident and would not be able to make it. I told her it was ok and we could reschedule for a later date. I saved my daughters cake and rescheduled the session for another date. We were finally about to do the session on May 1st. Susan came to the hospital with a blanket and star background. Nothing about what we had discussed. Again, I couldn't be upset since Susan was honoring the package and even coming to the hospital for the session. She took images of my daughter for about 30 mins. I was excited about how they would look. I sent her a message on May 9th about editing some cables. My daughter has a trach. I didn't want to edit the trach but some of the cables in the background. I messaged her constantly and didn't receive a response until June 9th. She sent me about 20 images and told me to choose the best ones and she would edit them and have them ready over the weekend. I asked her if there was any way to edit some of the cables in the background or fix her hair etc. She said she would try and if she couldn't do this she would refer me to someone else. I asked if she could try that would be great. Again, I was happy and grateful. Since then I have constantly left messages and called her with no response. I am angry and frustrated. The one star are because she did come to the hospital and did take the pictures.I was understanding since she was willing to help me but now I feel as if i would have been better off with a refund. As of right now I havent received any pictures and doubt I will.

    This is the first time I have ever had to write a poor review for a service. Our first scheduled photo shoot for our daughter's first birthday Susan no-showed and called us 15 minutes after it was supposed to begin to reschedule to the following week. The next week, we had a great time at the photoshoot and were excited to see the photos. It has now been over a month since the photo shoot and Susan is ignoring our calls and text messages. We understand life happens and are perfectly fine waiting for the pictures but being completely ghosted after paying over $300 for pictures is unacceptable. Avoid this business at all costs, they will charge you for services they will not fufill.

    Im just going to get to the point. my mother-in-law purchased a bundle package through an outside vendor that offers a photo session being with Susan Garrett. The package includes a FREE 8x10 print out of YOUR CHOICE. (Yeah its been 3 months since our session and we still cant get a response in regards to where our photo is at or when we can come pick it up.) We arranged our session several months in advance my wife called, and tried to arrange for some cute maternity photos. We agreed to pay any additional charges. I get the fact that people are busy, simply not responding is absolutely unprofessional. Our pictures turned out mediocre simply the same pose just at a different angle that we were charged $550 plus tax. My wife has even messaged this individual on social media in hopes of a response they have been read but simply not responsive to clients paying this amount of money is not a good outlook moving forward.
