Altura Homes

We are currently still in dispute with Altura homes for their lack of final stabilizing our lot and neighboring lots. Caused silt to fill our swells and pool water during rains all the way up to our home. They were very rude, unkind, and unresponsive during the process. Tceq found them in violation to the standards, which can be found on public records

The rating Im still etchy on. Can impatience land you in hot water by viewing houses yourself? Ive seen many homes by Altura that looks too similar by other builders. Why is that? Another thing. Its extremely weird for a realtor to keep advertising another builder to a customer when that realtor does not work for that other company. Are you working for your company or giving away business to another company? Another thing. The rooms are small especially the rooms with only the toilet in them. Why is that? Normally, when you go to the bathroom, you go to a bathroom where theres a sink to wash your hands, a toilet toilet, and a tub or shower All in the same space not have your toilet separate from the sink and the tub or shower. This builder built homes as is they dont give you room to make changes for an example. If you want to change the shower to a tub they wont let you do that. If you want a four car garage, they wont let you do that they use propane instead of natural gas. People see houses just like they see cars on a dealership parking lot. There are things that you might want to see on your own time on your own time and you dont want to stay in front of that realtor you want to make your own notes you want to See for yourself without being questioned on site without being judged or Anything like that realtors some of them are not professional and patient. Some of them will have an attitude some of them they dont like feedback. Some of them like to put on the fake front and they are completely opposite of what theyre trying to portray themselves to be in front of you. I like to see and not what I see by myself on my own time I dont want it to be pushed into buying upfront I dont want to be pushed proven my income. I want to see the house and I want to see if its something that I like I want to see the quality and see if its something that Im OK with they dont build houses like they used to. I dont appreciate being spied on while house searching. Its creepy

Build quality is poor, attention to detail and workmanship are mediocre at best. The vendors used as sub-contractors are rude, subpar, lack pride of workmanship. We have had multiple concerns with our HVAC system to the point we have hired our own contractor to remedy it due to the warranty contractor being unable to fix it. Literally every knob, handle and fixture screw in the home are loose. One door in our bathroom was rubbing due to the door slab being warped. They came and adjusted the door so it doesn't rub. Clearly is warped and the fitment has large gaps and looks janky. Dead tree they won't replace, sod that has no soil in it due to grading concerns, two windows that need replaced because they are fogged up. As we discover things wrong while living here and ask for warranty service we a starting to encounter a smugness with Altura personnel. Without exaggerating as we live here the more we regret purchasing this home from Altura. I will not recommend purchasing a home from Altura. If you are a Realtor you would be doing your clients a disservice recommending them to purchase an Altura built home.
