Hello Jacob. I'm sorry you are unhappy with the situation and unhappy with us. Please know we are not a big corporation. We are local small independently owned franchise shop who is honest and tries our best to find solutions for our clients. The issue with this situation was the insurance company, not with my team. I realize this was the other person's insurance and not yours, which I'm sure is making it more frustrating for you. We are a highly certified shop with good technicians who receive a great deal of advanced training on repairing vehicles and we have specialized equipment many shops don’t have. One of our certifications is Kia which is your vehicle. We are focused on doing safe and proper repairs. We cannot repair a vehicle if the insurance doesn’t want to pay a market rate nor pay for operations needed to do a safe and proper repair. The insurance company originally had rates from ~10yrs ago. Within 1 day my team sent a supplement to the insurance company for repair operations they left off the estimate and for rates inline with market costs today. It took insurance almost 4 weeks to respond to us (and my team followed up multiple times per week trying to get them to respond). Their response raised rates a bit but only up to rates ~5yrs ago. Numerous attempts were made to find a middle ground that would allow us to repair the vehicle for you but they are unwilling to pay market rates. I’m sure you understand, we are unable to repair a vehicle if we are going to lose money doing it. This is not us being greedy. This is an issue with the insurance company. We offered to accept rates far lower than normal so we could do the repairs for you but they are unwilling to be fair. My team also suggested you go through your insurance company and let them subrogate with the other insurance company which is the common alternative in this situation. We did everything we could do to try and find a way to repair your vehicle. This insurance company is not accepted by most shops because of the issues you have experienced. We tried to help and make it work but in the end we are the one getting the blame. We will be adding this insurance company to the small list of ones we can’t work with. I’m sorry you are frustrated with us and hope you are able to find a shop to help you.
