        I had always done my own taxes until 2022. We bought a rental property and needed help. So we used Mike for the first time after he came recommended... which ended up costing over $3000. They made a couple mistakes by not submitting the cost basis for our crypto investments leading the IRS to send us a nastygram to either pay tens of thousands of dollars in taxes for "unclaimed income" or identify the mistake. I reached out to Mike for help correcting HIS mistake...to which he responded with "if you pay me at $500/hour." After hours of pouring over the tax filing, and multiple rounds of conversations with the IRS, found the mistakes and corrected them on our own. I'm not a CPA, but apparently can do a better job than Mike. This year I did my own taxes again in Turbotax costing me a total of $250 (with audit protection!), and I did my entire taxes in less time than it took me just to fix Mike's mistake. Do not recommend ever using this company.

However, the accuracy of our tax returns relies on documents our clients provide to us. We need relevant information to include the required standard of data in a tax return at the preparer’s request.We bill all clients hourly for the work we produce for them. We aim to be meticulous and accurate, but if our mistakes cause additional work, we do not bill our clients for that. However, when we are asked to respond to an IRS notice generated due to an unintentional oversight (resulting in an IRS notice), we do bill for our time.Again, we are sorry about your disappointing experience. We care about your feedback, and your input reminds us to continue to reinforce communication with clients on the urgent matter of receiving pertinent data.Thanks again Aaron, for taking time to share a review with us!
