So I have a few friends who have taken their vehicles to Auto Technologies and trust Jason's dad. I knew part of the issue on my vehicle and did not want to attempt the repair, so I brought it to Auto Technologies with a friend who had been there before. I talked to Jason and let him know the symptoms and what I knew needed to be repaired at the very least. I gave it about a week and called for an update...car hadn't been looked at. Another week, same answer. This went on for almost three months. During that time, I asked for my vehicle back and was told it had been taken apart to diagnose it. I asked if the specific repair I mentioned had been completed, it had not. I also went to my friends that suggested Auto Technologies to let them know what was going on. They all told me that he generally takes his time, but also they have had only routine work on their vehicles. I went in person at one point and ended up talking to another customer who was going through a similar situation with him. Eventually, the repair I suggested was completed after taking my vehicle apart to look at 10, 20, 30 other things....I just don't know what all was being diagnosed that the vehicle had to be taken apart. Jason called to give me my total. I went in with the same friend and his dad was there giving me a total of almost double what Jason told me. I argued obviously, his dad simply said "...well you were going to need these things replaced soon..." I told him he needed to have asked me first. Had I known, I wouldn't have the additional work done because I could have done it saving me that extra money. He took off $100 and I just went ahead and paid to get my car. My friend was surprised since he had a good experience even though it was for a simple repair. ***UPDATE*** My vehicle is driving the same as when I took it in several months ago. I am not going back as I do not trust Auto Technologies. For anyone out there with a positive experience, I hope you don't need them for major repairs.
