We are so thankful for our time at Pebblecreek and sad to leave the school this year because of relocation. They are the only AMI Montessori program in Collin County, and the education is top-notch. We love you PCM staff!

After less than 1 mth of attending Pebblecreek in 3/2021 the school told us that our 2 yr old isnt able to engage or focus on 1 activity at a time. We told them our child may not be engaging since we spoke 2 languages at home and because she hasnt been in a class setting. The school agreed that our child is behind in her development due to being home for 1 yr as a result of the global Pandemic. However, the more distressing issue was of when our 2 yr old accidentally broke her glass cup while using it during the schools care. Being that our child was never exposed to broken glass, out of a natural curiosity, our child picked up the broken cup & put it in her mouth. Our child wasn't hurt in her mouth, but had a cut on her finger. Pebblecreek blamed our child by saying its unusual for a 2 yr old to put broken glass in her mouth; instead of taking responsibility. 1 mth prior to our child attending Pebblecreek, our pediatrician told us at the 2 yr checkup that our child is developing normally & just needed to continue to focus on her speech. However, even after saying this, the head of school continued to question our childs behavior as if she was on the spectrum & eluded that the school was labeling our child as a problem". We left w/ mixed emotions, but trusted Pebblecreek would help us get our child back on track. We started to only speak English to further help our child to adjust. We also had our child tested for hearing & vision; both came back normal. 5 mths go by & the school told us that our child will be moved to another class w/ a new teacher because the school is expanding the Toddler program. Fast forward to 9/2021, our childs new teacher reached out for a meeting. In this meeting, the head of school told us they can no longer give our child the individual attention she needs, & that we need to pull our child out of their school immediately. However, it should be noted that Pebblecreek NEVER told us that our child needed individual attention/help. The new teacher also said that she cant redirect our child/keep her engaged in activities, & that our 2.5 yr old isn't able to lead the younger toddlers by setting examples. How can they expect a 2.5 yr old to progress when she is surrounded by toddlers that are 15-20 mths? It was obvious that the new teacher didn't want our child to be in her class, & had no interest in helping our child. It should also be noted that the new teacher had only been teaching our child for only 1 month at this point. The Head of School then chimed in & said that our child is mouthing on books & toys. This is when we knew tales were being told from 3/2021. We have asked our childs New school if they have observed this concern & the resounding answer is No. Lets be real, some mouthing on objects at that age is exploratory in nature & does occur with toddlers. If your toddler does this at Pebblecreek, the response you will receive from the school is, That is not normal! I dont know what children youre comparing your child to, but this is a Montessori school! (direct quote from Pebblecreeks teacher). Kids have an innate ability to sense when someone around them is being negative. Our poor toddler mustve been so stressed out from the way her new teacher was treating her. During the last several days that our child was attending Pebblecreek, she started having toileting issues. As soon as she was home for the weekend, the accidents stopped. It was gut wrenching & stressful the way Pebblecreek ostracized our toddler out. However, our child is now thriving & growing @ a Different school WITHOUT any additional attention & support that apparently Pebblecreek couldn't give. Just days of attending a Different school, she is infinitely happier. Our child is singing & talking in full sentences, joyfully participates in all activities/assignments that her teacher gives her, & socializes w/ 2-4 yr olds. The Different school knows how to guide/teach. Please note that the last 2 recent five-star reviews here were left by Pebblecreek's employees. Well let you judge on why they did that.
