The staff here are amazing and made me feel so welcome and comfortable in the toughest time of my entire life...They were not pushy at all, they explained everything that was going on...and after I said my goodbyes to my brindle babe the nurse even took time and did the ink pawprint for me. They were awesome! I highly recommend 288 Animal Emergency Clinic if you ever run into after hours emergencies with any of your pets!

I cannot recommend this place enough. The entire staff was very kind. Dr Van Dyke is incredibly knowledgeable and so so kind. She recognized a very rare illness in my puppy right away that no one else could and Im so thankful. Definitely a 5 star clinic.

My cat was going downhill over the week, and by Friday evening my vet strongly recommended emergency care over the weekend that they just couldn't provide. They also recommended this clinic, telling me that they are just as good as Sugar land emergency hospital, but with much more reasonable prices. It did take some time to actually see the doctor (my cat was immediately taken back, it's just I that had to wait), because they were really busy, but once we saw the doctor she was very thorough and knowledgeable, and clearly read all of my vets notes. I was given a very specific price list with "minimum expected" and "maximum expected" and explanations of what exactly is being charged for. I was also asked if I wanted to do more in depth tests, should no other test show what was wrong. As my vet said, the prices were not low, but also not really higher than my regular vet. My kitty was there till Monday morning, when we had to take him back and transfer him to our regular vet as this place is only on off hours. I've called them several times for updates, because I simply couldn't wait for them to call me "in the morning" and "in the evening", which they still did so I ended up talking to them several times a day, including one time at 4am when I couldn't fall asleep with worry. They were very kind and informative, and never sounded like my call was inconveniencing them. I spoke to the vet, Dr Van Dyke, several times, and she was very straightforward, explaining everything what is going on, what she is thinking, and what the options are. As much as my cat was trying to die, they just wouldn't let him. He couldn't hold his temperature, so they had to constantly monitor him and in addition to the normal drug regime add/remove icepacks and heatpacks. He wouldn't eat, so in addition to iv, they syringe fed them all possible yummy foods every few hours. Once he got somewhat better, I know they petted him, because the vet noted a very specific purry pattern that my cat has. Due to my schedule I had to pick him up very early, before their official hours, but I was just told to give them heads up and they'll have him ready for me. No one ever figured out what exactly went wrong with my cat, but with all of the care he survived long enough to clear whatever infection/virus was happening and recover. Now he is running around being his usual purry furry self. I am incredibly grateful for this clinic in general, and Dr Van Dyke in particular.

They rather watch and let your pet die infront of you and in the lobby if you don't have the funds even though its an emergency. Brought my cat in because he was puking blood everywhere. I mean a LOT of blood. Dr's and staff refused to take in our cat who was even at the time puking so much blood once they heard we didn't have the funds to pay so much in one day after asking If they do payment plans. We signed up for a medical vet credit card (only option we had) then they finally took him back and gave him one short look over. Proceeded to say" he looks fine he's not puking much blood. That's not a lot of blood. " made them do an xray which was quick and we weren't allowed to go back with our cat. They said again he's fine. They gave him an IV and antinause medicine and sent us away. Wouldn't do blood work wouldn't do anything. I doubt they even did the Xray. I believe they're lying about it Do NOT take your pets here. They are very scammer and just uncaring people. Only care about money. Ill update to see if my cat is still puking up blood later because they refuse to do any more tests.

The staff was very kind and compassionate. The doctor gave extensive information so I could make a well-informed decision on the care of my cat. He had to be hospitalized, and I live 45 minutes away, so they called me with updates. Sadly, he didn't make it, but they called me to come in and see him and gave me privacy while I said goodbye. The next day the doctor called to check on me to make sure I was okay and to offer her condolences. I highly recommend them for emergency vet care.
