We brought our truck to Ron, at Alexander's Automotive, to get some damage repaired. After requesting an estimate, all I received was a form with writing in pencil saying "repair not to exceed $3500". Nothing else on the estimate, no itemized parts or labor. When I called and asked him for more details, he said he couldn't give me anything else until he took the truck apart, even though he had already inspected in person , and I had sent photos. I undertand an estimate can't be exact, but I believe requesting an itemized quote of the minimum work to be done isn't a huge ask when I am planning to leave my vehicle in the hands of this shop. Ron didn't like my request, yelled at me over the phone and told me to take my truck somewhere else, then hung up the call - to anyone who is thinking of coming to this shop, just be careful and think twice! Ron was really sweet, until he wasn't. Having a possible customer ask for specific pricing shouldn't be an issue if they are giving you an honest offer.
