John does everything possible to get the job done. He went above and beyond to get the necessary part and made sure I was on the road home to my family. Highly recommend.

My significant other and I was traveling from Texas to Louisiana on July 4th and developed low tire pressure in one of our tires.. Most places were closed or didn't service regular vehicles.. My guy had given up and said we'd just keep stopping as needed to put air in the tire. I went back on google and found the number for brother John. I called and although he was closing he said that we could come there.. He was extremely kind, very hospitable and overall a nice guy. If you're ever in the area and need assistance, give him a call. and if you're hungry hit up Alice's hot dog house 1712 Strickland Dr Orange, TX

Quoted me 2 to 3 days on a head gasket job at $2000 asked for half up front and held my truck for over 2 months didn't finish the job and couldn't provide reciepts from the machineshop that he supposedly had the heads turned and die checked at. In the end told me my truck was out of gas and that I could come and get it without paying the other half of the $2000 it was a horrible experience 1 out of 10 would not recommend. Found out from another mechanic that the timing is off. Meaning he didn't want to take the time to get it right. Ended up losing 1500$ altogether towing fees and the 1000 up front. Still ended up with a broken truck. He pulled a sling blade. "ain't got no gas in it" Service: Engine repair

Our Ford F-150 was giving us issues with the 4x4 part of the truck. John quickly diagnosed it in less than 3 hours and next day he was ordering part with our total for the part and labor. Stuck with the price even though he probably had to put more hours into it. He communicated well with us and took the time to explain things and even show us pictures. Definitely better priced and very reliable and honest. Definitely would use him again.

Complaint Details On June 26 2023 I gave John at Brother Johns Automotive $1550 cash which was half of a $3100 quote to replace bad engine in 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer with a LKQ low mileage engine.Vin number was sent to John for an accurate order and supposedly engine was ordered. Was told by John that the order would take 7-10 days for shipping. After 2 weeks engine arrived supposedly to wrong shop in Pt.Arthur .John told me LKQ would pick up and deliver but they supposedly took engine back to Houston warehouse. After another week of me thinking they would deliver to John he tells me he has to go to Houston to pick up engine. After engine Sat in Johns shop another 3 days he tells me it's wrong engine and has to send back to LKQ for swap.Amother 2 weeks later engine arrives at Johns shop and I'd say inside. This it is all around the first of August by now. After going by several times to see why my vehicle is still just sitting in Johns yard and not inside being worked on after seeing him work on other vehicles he finally moved trailblazer inside shop week after Labor Day..A few weeks later I go by to check on vehicle after numerous calls and John receptionist telling us he is under hood he is in shop working on another vehicle and I ask him what's the problem with working on mine and he says everything taken loose to remove old engine except fir exhaust bolts he is waiting on a friend to bring by a cutting torch to remove exhaust bolts with.I leave. By now it's October and on October 18 I text him and ask him to please tell me old engine is out and new engine about to go in.His reply is yes it is but to quit coming up there and calling,he would let me know when ready. On October 25 I went up to Brother Johns Automotive and opened the hood of trailblazer after seeing new engine still on crate next to vehicle and saw that not a single bolt had ever been touched and no work at all had been done to vehicle.I asked for the last time when was he going to work on trailblazer and he couldn't give me a straight answer. So on October 26 I went and got trailblazer and what I had thought was a low mileage LKQ engine. After getting vehicle to my house and having another mechanic look at truck and engine he assures me this is not a LKQ engine and most likely a bad junk.yard engine. There is oil.underneath engine and a hole in exhaust manifold.I have made numerous attempts to Contact John about this but no response to calls or texts. Desired Outcome/Settlement Desired Settlement: Refund None Provided From the Consumer on Wednesday, November 1, 2023 Just wanted to add that when I asked John for a receipt from LKQ Auto Parts he claimed they never sent him one but find this hard to believe. Was told by L KK Q rep that when an engine is shipped out it's has a Shipping label attached to shipping crate or pallet and a label on engine describing the product.Jihn claims got nothing.I had another mechanic look at motor and said most likely came out of a salvage yard did to the damage and oil residue on outside of engine..I hope to save someone else the same wrong doing from this company. You have a response now .I know for a fact this engine did not come from LKQ like you said it would with a warranty.Still no excuse for having my truck for 4 months and not touching a single bolt on it.Ive called and texted you numerous times and you have just ignored the problem hoping it would go away but I assure you it won't be.You need to make this right.
