C HELMER DID NOT HIRE JAMES WOOD CONSTRUCTION THEY HIRED LOWE’S HOME IMPROVEMENT AS THEIR CONTRACTOR. I also want to mention that we installed this roof back in 2021, and it is now 2023. The original review was left in October of 2023 shortly after the customer called our office wanting us to help them put their removable sash back in their window. We attempted to contact back but we received no response. The issue with Lowe’s installations is that the client must contact Lowe’s first before the installer can come out and do anything on a Lowe’s installations project. We can also contact Lowe’s for the client, but Lowe’s still wants to speak to their client about the matter before sending the installer out. 1. As a Lowe’s installer our responsibility is to measure for the project and install the product. It is up to Lowe’s to sale the product, order the product, and to communicate with the customer. 2. We installed what the client originally picked out with the Lowe’s Sales Team. However, the customer did not like that product due to reading negative reviews online about the product. To ensure that the customer was satisfied Lowe’s ordered their client the new product their client wanted. The product of course was a special-order product and took a while to arrive. We removed the original product and installed the new product. 3. Our installer did not cut the roof decking back far enough according to the specs for the product. This mistake did not affect the integrity of the roof, but the specs warranted for it to be cut back a ¼” further for cosmetic purposes. However, we made our installer aware, and the issue was fixed. I believe we were very apologetic but I apologize for making you feel like we weren't apologetic.4. We are not responsible for product lead times or Lowe’s lead times. We are solely responsible for our time on a project, and I believe that we installed this roof in a timely manner even with the changes of material the client made, and the slight error that we did fix. Our window installation did not experience any changes. 5. Anytime there is an issue whether it be a manufacturer error, or an installer error etc. Lowe’s always; if they are made aware of an issue by the client will create a work order for their installer to go back out and assess, and if an issue is present then the installer will fix the issue. We have not been issued a work order to assess any issues, to repair, fix, replace etc. anything for this clients roof. Lowe’s backs their installation clients 100% when there is a valid complaint with their install. After our installation is complete Lowe’s is fully responsible for corresponding with their client. Again, we have not heard ANY complaints about this roof in the last two years and we have been out to this customers house to help with their window sashes since then. Lowe’s is a multibillion dollar company with hundreds of installers, and I am a small business owner with my own company that does Lowe’s installs as additional work. So, Lowe’s website reviews are not relevant to my business. 6. I am an independent contractor and a business owner, and I can say 100% for a fact that if we do make a mistake that we will fix the mistake because clients leaving a negative review is detrimental to a small business. We encourage clients to call us when there is an issue, but Lowe’s as well as the customer has not contacted us in the past two years about any issues regarding the roof which we would have assessed and addressed if any issues existed. The Lowe’s client has called us twice in the past two years to assist them with putting the removable sashes back into their windows. This is a common work order for us because removable sashes can be tricky! If you still need assistance we will call Lowe’s for you and set that up. Call us at 936-560-1221.
