The team here checked me in over the phone most profesionally. I was in town to perform a wedding, they were very friendly and accommodating. They provided informative and professional service. The bathrooms and showers were clean, and my campsite was neat and tidy. I truly appreciated and enjoyed my stay at Lake Conroe KOA. Andy was exceptionally friendly and helpful in getting me processed out. It's a great place to be. Pop Grizz

Stayed at the Lake Conroe KOA for about 5 months in my fifth wheel RV while working in Houston. Great location with plenty of restaurants/shopping just a short walk or drive away. Very spacious sites through the park compared to other KOAs. All sites are paved and mostly level, definitely big rig friendly. Staff was great! Very responsive to inquiries and requests for maintenance (had an electrical pedestal issue early during my stay that was quickly resolved). As the weather started warming up, the maintenance team got busy with lots of little things around the park repainting site numbers, fixing water leaks, etc Only downside is that they dont really have a Store like other large KOAs. They have a few items but with the large office they have, there could be so much more. Id definitely stay there again if I was in the area. Nearby activities: Short drive to multiple marinas on Lake Conroe that rent boats. Food & drinks: Several restaurants across the street. Pizza shack, Bahama Bucks, Little Caesars Chick filet, Popeyes, Mod Pizza just down the road across from the Kroger Noteworthy details: Multiple fishing ponds with ducks and turtles

I recently stayed at this campground and overall had a pleasant experience. The place is very well-maintained with great amenities, and the sites are spacious and well spread out. The customer service and employees were excellent, providing a welcoming atmosphere. However, the only downfall for us was the presence of unsupervised children. While there are multiple families living there full-time, their children roam freely around the campground. Our lakefront site seemed to be a popular hangout spot for them, leading to some inconvenience as they left their bikes, scooters, and toys near our RV. I even had to politely ask a child to refrain from climbing the ladder on my RV. If you're considering booking a lakefront site, I recommend requesting one on the south side of the park to avoid the children's high traffic area, particularly site 192, which seems to be a pathway for them to the lake. 25 feet to the right of this site there are no rv spots or cabins and community lake access. Unfortunately the children prefer cutting through occupied sites and hanging out in the driveways of the sites. Overall, it's a lovely campground with some minor considerations regarding children's supervision.

The management at this location is the worst of any KOA affiliate or other resort style facility we have ever used. We had a 30 person reunion scheduled here. The day we showed up most of the cabins that were reserved and all of the campsites that were reserved were not available to us. They split everybody up throughout the park and would not honor grouping us in the locations so the elderly people could walk to our preselected cabins and RV sites. During the stay, they couldnt understand their own sites, asking us to plug-in to power that was not part of our assigned locations, but instead adjacent . We will never stay at this location again and will question any KOA thoroughly prior to arriving to make sure that they dont have similar issues. I will be following up during business hours Once I can find out who actually operates this facility. The individuals they put in charge will not provide you any escalation contacts. Dont ruin your event by staying here.
