First of all, I see that most reviews on Earnestine Nickel are from investors/property owners. If you are a present or past tenant of this woman, I'd sure like to see your reviews. I have a unique perspective on Nickel and her company I'd like to share. I rented a home in Denton Texas back in 2009 from Earnestine Nickel when I moved from California and opened a business there. I was just a couple of months shy of my second year lease renewal when the air conditioning went out. Earnestine simply would not get it fixed, no matter how many emails or calls were made. She was just nasty and horrible to deal with. It was clear to me at the time that she makes her money off investors and property owners and doesn't care about tenants. My position has not changed, even after all this time. I slept in that house with no air conditioning for 2 months in the Texas summer and told her I wasn't renewing my lease. My last month there I informed her I was withholding that last rent payment because of the non-working air conditioning. She could have done the right thing and fixed the AC and gave me a month like any decent person would have, but she chose not to, instead, she sued me for the last months rent of $1400.00 and attempted to evict me, this is the kind of person she is. She also kept my security deposit. I've since become a landlord myself with a 50 unit facility and am buying more properties. I've learned a lot since then. She taught me what not to do with my tenants. I would not do business with her again if my life depended on it. I would't let her near my properties either, even if she was the only property manager on the planet.... no thank you

I have had my Dallas properties with Nickel since 2009 and overall it has been very satisfying. Are there hiccups? occasionally , of course, all management firms over time will have small ups and downs. Tenants come and go, but Nickels quick response and turn around times have mitigated much of the heartburn. I find their repairs to be priced fairly and prompt. I have been through other property managers in the past that have been nightmares. So if you are looking for a new property manager in Dallas consider yourself lucky you are reading this and take your business to Nickle ASAP.

We have used them for our property in Ft Worth. When problems such as repairs and maintenance came, they were resolved in a timely manner. Cost involve were fair and reasonable. Staff did an excellent job of managing the work and keeping us informed. we have worked with them since 2006.
