Horseshoe Lodges - Cabins & Rv's

I would rate lower if I could. We made reservations 2 months ago and prepaid. This was a family trip with family coming from other states for a wedding. On the day of our reservation, we received a call saying that people came and stayed longer than expected so our spots were not available. There were no other spots, just cabins. Were traveling a 5th wheel and Motorhome so we ended up calling around until we found another place. I am not happy that we are now separated from our group. Some of which we havent seen in years. I would not recommend reserving here since its not guaranteed. Clearly the priority is given to long term residents and short term are not the priority. We traveled 3 days to get here and this is how we were treated.

So I came out here to Midland for work on the pipeline and I was going to stay in one of the cheap hotels in town but that plan ended up falling through and then I found this place the horseshoe and I tell you what ever since staying here I don't think I'm going to stay anywhere else for work but here and I feel really safe here yes it is a man camp I don't know if I would have recommended for family vacation but even if you do I promise you're going to feel right at home here if I could give this place more than five stars I would I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!! Rent a cabin for 2 weeks because I work a 2 week hitch and 1 week off. I was working nights and sleeping during the day after the first week the owner/manager whoever started calling and texting me at around 8 am in the morning wanting to know if I wanted to extend my stay. I sent a text to him stating that I would get ahold of him when I woke up and pay for another week. I had to tell him that I would like some fresh towels and my bedding changed after the first week. I didn't think anything about it but when my phone started ringing and text messages started to come in this morning stating if I wanted to extend my stay. So when I got up I was looking and he had charged me for 2 weeks at 529.00 a week then I noticed that he charged me for an extra day at 106.99. So I called him and he tried to tell me that I had been there for 15 days when I only work 14 days. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. When spending that kind of money you shouldn't have to ask someone for clean towels and bedding. I will sleep in my truck before I would ever stay at that place again.
