Republic Services Mexia Landfill

Since January 8th, 2024, I've been attempting to terminate my dumpster service, following my relocation to Houston in December 2023. Despite my impending move out of the country in June, the issue remains unresolved. Additionally, damage to a stucco post on my property by the service provider has not been addressed. Jondwalyn Holbert, who assisted me, promised a 30-day cancellation, yet as of March 15th, the dumpster remains on the property without resolution.

My husband and I have been faithful Republic customers for some time. We'd already paid our bill for an entire three month period 2/2/24 when we decided to conclude our service. We opted for a different provider who could offer competitive pricing for more service. My husband called in plenty of time to cancel, thank Republic and ask them to please come and pick up their Trash Cart. He was told they would be out to retrieve it promptly and that conversation was in February. We received a statement (photo enclosed) of a CREDIT of $131.77 because as I mentioned we had just paid $192.00 on 2/2 when we paid in February. The invoice with the $131.77 Credit showed the itemized credits and a "Container Removal" itemized line. We were awaiting a check from Republic for our credited amount but instead received another credit invoice in March with a REDUCED CREDIT of $46.89!! Are you serious? What horrible service for a faithful customer. My husband called today and was told he was charged $85.00 for their gas to retrieve the can although the previous invoice had a $50 itemized line already. We only owed two-three weeks AT MOST, and they've conveniently found a way to keep almost all of our payment. I plan to file an official complaint with their corporate office, and post a review on their site as well, because that is horrible. Even if the new provider does not meet our expectations I would not return to a vendor that would handle their customers that way. Businesses have truly lost integrity, and it appears only greed is left.

We have a piece of property in Mexia, Texas. We have our water through Limestone County (the only providers of water where we live). We drove quite a bit to drop off a truckload of cardboard and other items. When we got there, we were advised that we needed safety vests (huh?), hard hats (double huh?) and if we didn't have them we could purchase them there (really?). Oh and even though this landfill is for Mexia which we have a water bill showing we have a house in Mexia, we could not use this location. This is definitely out of the way and it was a wasted trip for sure. We even called them before heading that way to insure there would be no hiccups. Oh and it would cost more money since I didn't have a tarp covering everything. I literally saved a giant piece of cardboard for the very top of which covered everything and I strapped it down tightly. Nothing was going to blow out. So the costs were two safety vests, two hard hats, a fee for no tarp and but wait you can't even use this location. One star for the lady that was working there since she was nice as she "stuck it to us"

RUN! Do not choose this company if you dont have to! Its probably one of the worst businesses weve ever HAD to do business with. Last week they missed my trash out of many others on the same street so politely I called in a missed trash pick up 3 times but they never came back out. So today is our trash day and my trash was a bit more full than usual since they didnt get it last week and they left trash all over my driveway from it. These guys are completely unprofessional for that and its sad. Only giving 2 stars because when I called the chat line I spoke with very nice women who put in my service request even when they were near closing so thats the one thing this company has going for them. Dumped tree chips. 0.69 ton or 1300lbs. Minimum charge of $125.00. Outrageous prices. Took larger load to waco for just over $40 Service: Yard debris removal
