We recently moved to Dallas area and so looking for a new teacher in Carnatic music. I contacted Mrs.Anipindi and enrolled my 8yr old. She had previously taken lessons with another teacher who only taught her in 1st speed and not the other 2. I told her about it and requested her to see in which group my daughter would fit. In the 2nd class, she was doing a song that my daughter didnt learn with her old teacher and Mrs.Anipindi was very rude. She was in the class when she said my daughter gives her a twist like Ram Gopal Varma movies each time she comes to class, that she cant even decide which group to fit my daughter in since my daughter thinks she already has done her phd in music! All this trash talk about her with me in front of other kids in the class - zoom due to COVID. Im really appalled at her unprofessionalism. I didnt mind which group my daughter sits with even if it means going back to learn the basics. And its not because shes my daughter I say this, she is really obedient and known for her manners and behavior. I was very upset that all this happened in front of her. This is nothing but abuse to the kids who should be looking up to a teacher and learning from her. I canceled my daughters lessons with her immediately- I paid her $262 , a prorated fee for the semester and she only refunded me $85 after just 3 classes. A very bitter experience for me and I hope she doesnt repeat it with anyone hence I decided to post the review.
