DHR Health Neurology Institute

Ive been suffering for over a year with suspected vestibular migraines. An ENT gave me this diagnosis and gave me medication but they never seemed to work. Ive seen doctors of all sorts and not one took the time to listen to everything and come up with a real plan. Ive seen my PCP, a chiropractor, several urgent care doctors, ER doctors, and an ENT with no relief. I am just starting with Dr Cruz and Emily, NP at DHR Neurology and from the very first introduction I was listened to, examined, I felt empathy/sympathy, and like I was not just another number to add to the charts. Emily and Dr Cruz both have extraordinary bedside manners and you can truly tell they are about their patients. I felt so comfortable and not judged by them. I am getting an MRI of the brain with and without contrast so hopefully I will have more answers but I trust that Emily and Dr Cruz will take great care of me no matter what. I hope to not have to suffer this horrible invisible sickness any longer than I have to. Thank you for showing me your kindness and compassion. This has truly been hard to deal with and go through. You both helped me feel optimistic and that I can get better. Each staff member I have met there in that office have been extremely helpful, courteous, professional, and supportive. Not one person has judged me or made me feel bad about my symptoms. I am a single mother of 4 kids with a full time job with no family. I have to get better as I am their only source of care. I have faith that everyone at this facility will help me get better.

Dr. Cruz is one of the most compassionate physicians out there. I am so grateful to have had someone like him deliver my diagnosis as well as advocate for me in so many ways: insurance appeals and so much more. He truly wants to see me succeed in life despite the limitations of my diagnosis. The other staff and professionals in the office offer much support as well. I am moving soon and can only hope I will entrust my care to an office like this. Thank you DHR Neurology Institute!

Dr Cruz takes his time to ask question during the initial appointment. His PA (female) applies the same practice. Both are very humble and they care. Some of the Medical Staff could practice being a bit more approachable but what matters is the quality of the Dr's services; this is why I rated a 4.0.

So much i can say about Dr. Cruz. He is an excellent doctor and has helped from my ms to all other general questions. He responds in the fastest way possible which other doctors dont. Also, he was provided the most excellent services whether they are for my health to any other ways he can. :) I have recommended to my friends and family. My doctor several years ago was named the top and best doctor in San Antonio and I can say now, Dr. Cruz exceeds the best and top doctor in San Antonio. :)
