I am writing to share my experience leasing a property managed by John Teixeira-Teixeira Realty Group. When my husband and I began the leasing process in February 2023 February 2024, we encountered unprofessional and dismissive treatment from the property manager, John Teixeira - RE/MAX Mansfield. From the initial interactions, Mr. Teixeira's demeanor suggested a lack of willingness to consider us as tenants. Questions were asked and comments were made that could be perceived as discriminatory based on our race and age. Despite having strong financial qualifications that exceeded the requirements, we felt undervalued and judged. We ultimately signed a one-year lease to secure housing within our timeframe. However, the interactions did not improve over the course of our tenancy. Requests were not addressed promptly or respectfully. When giving proper notice to vacate as outlined in our agreement, our availability and privacy were disregarded through unauthorized scheduling of showings. As established professionals and clients, we strive to be treated and to conduct ourselves with dignity, respect and fairness. Unfortunately, our experience leasing from this company fell short of those standards. I cannot recommend this property management group based on the treatment we received. Prospective tenants deserve to feel confident they will be dealt with courteously and without bias.
