I usually dont leave poor reviews for companies I use, or try to use, because I know how impactful they can be. However, hopefully JM plumbing can use this as a learning experience. I needed a gas line run added for my portable generator to power my home in the event of a power outage. The initial call went well. They sent out what I assume is their lead plumber and he took a look at what I had, scoffed at its simplicity, and said give us a call when you have a better idea of when you want it installed and we can come out that day. Sweet! I told them I hadnt ordered the generator yet and was just shopping around and I wanted to have the generator already there in order to test. Here is where the annoying parts started. I give JM Plumbing a call to finally schedule the work to be done. They schedule me for next Tuesday morning. Great. I have the generator on hand, ready to go. Tuesday morning comes and goes. Its now 2:30 in the afternoon. No communication. Frustratingly I call and ask for the situation. It goes to voicemail. I call again. It goes to voicemail. I finally get a call back an hour later, Oh yeah the plumber is at another job. He probably wont be able to make it today. Will probably have to come tomorrow. I agree to the following morning with the caveat that the work must be completed before 9:00-9:15 as I have a prior obligation I cannot miss. No problem. He (plumber) usually gets in around 8, we are in the same town as you so he should be over at 8:30 at the latest. Same deal. 8 AM comes and goes. 8:30, 9, 9:30. Absolutely zero word from JM. Very annoyed at this point, I call JM. Goes to voicemail, of course. I leave a voicemail telling them that if they cant bother coming out that afternoon to do the work, dont bother and I will hire someone who will. I never received anymore correspondence from them and ended up hiring another company who came out, gave a quote, and did the work all in one day. JM Plumbing, areas you can improve on include: 1. Communication. 2. Accountability 3. Customer service. If you say youre going to be somewhere, and you cant maintain that promise, communicate as such. And at least apologize for wasting someones time. I lugged my 300 lb generator out of my garage to the side of my house twice anticipating your arrival. Whoever you have answering the phones and doing the scheduling/dispatching needs more training or more colleagues. They seemed uncaring at worst or overwhelmed at best. I was not impressed. I will not be recommending JM Plumbing to others.
