One needs to inquire about policies regarding retired (tenured) Rector's. It is their position that they may not worship in the Church, from which they retired for a period of up to two years. According to them, they have statistics to back up this policy as being a good idea. Teachers do this all of the time to later volunteer, substitute, or maybe just switch positions. Retired teachers are not banned from school. They are welcomed champions and, in many cases, mentors for other teacher's. So, you'll pardon me if I don't understand this policy, even though they spouted out their position in NO uncertain terms. If you become attached to your Rector and they retire, well, it may be a while before they can come sit next to you.
