Homewood Suites by Hilton Dallas-Lewisville

Let me start with some of the good things about this property. The staff were just great. I interacted with every department, including maintenance. Everyone gave a smile everywhere and every time. My stay included Easter Sunday with plenty of extra activity around the hotel; still all the staff were perfect. NOTE: much of the staff were bilingual English-Spanish. Some of the housekeeping staff appeared to be Spanish-only speakers but that is not uncommon now around many places in the country. The hotel was flexible with my schedule. I had to change my stay days twice and extend twice while there. While the hotel seemed somewhat full they worded it out. As all the Homewood Suites go, the food was ok. I am never pleased with hotel food probably because it is too formulaic and predictable. Their food was hot, the buffet was neat and the dining room clean and kept up with. My wife has a saying, "It's all downhill from the lobby." Besides the aforementioned, my wife was not far off in this instance. The whole hotel was in need of a "refresh." Most chain restaurants do this every 5 to 7 years because of ware-and-tear and to remain relivent as a brand. I don't know if hotels do the same, although I have stayed is some during renovations, but I imagine they do. This property was desperately in need of new everything. I don't think for lack of care but just the long years of service. If this property has been refreshed in the last 7 years, they used the wrong material to do it. I think this brand nationwide has the extended stay business traveler as its target. I encountered 3 or 4 families using this as permanent longterm housing. I had only a few observations where the children were rowdy. Unsupervised around the property they were polite if not very self-aware. This last observation is somewhat difficult to make. I think either some level of drug and prostitution activity was taking place on site from time to time. I saw classic drug "courier" activity where it seemed someone was the go-between with a dark part of the parking lot and another person was on running out from another location also to the dark part of the parking lot. I do not do drugs so I do NOT KNOW for sure. As far as prostitution goes, too many times during the week I pulled in to the parking lot near a parked car only to have two heads shoot up from being below the dashboard to above the dashboard. This activity was not all the time but enough to be noticed as not nothing. Knowing this should ready you for what to expect. Walkability: Starbucks, fast food and Target walking distance in good weather

Horrible! I stay at Hilton properties multiple times a month. This place was so gross I checked out after 1 night into my 4 night stay.

Dirty room, especially shower. Trashy place & people here. Find somewhere else to stay

By far one of the cleanest, most acceptable low-mid tier Hilton properties Ive ever stayed in. The staff, however, is unparalleled in their service quality. I am not sure how, but this Homewood has managed to find, train, and retain luxury staff for a budget property. Will always choose this location over any other in Lewisville. Walkability: Tons of shopping and activities for kids nearby. Loved the proximity to Dallas via the A-train, which is a short walk from the property. Food & drinks: The onsite grill was in great working condition and made feeding two families affordable enough to serve them a steak dinner! Way better than eating out.
