Carpenter Vanessa G DDS

Dr. Carpenter, was so attentive during my visit. She listened as I told her about my discomfort on my tooth. Then she explained the treatment she recommended and was so patient to answer my questions. I definitely recommend her to everyone, my previous dentist retired but he was no where as attentive and kind as she is.

Pros - Dr Carpenter - The hygienist: Ceci Cons - Deceptive billing - Long wait Dr. Carpenter came highly recommended. I called her office to check that it was covered by my insurance. The front office said yes and I made an appointment. When I got there for my appointment I had to wait more than 40 minutes before being taken back. The actual cleaning was fine. The hygienist was knowledgeable. After the cleaning, I spoke to the office/billing manager who gave me barely a passing apology for the delay. The office/billing manager said there was an issue with billing the insurance, so they bill the patient and then the patient receives a reimbursement. Weird, but I went with it. When I finally got the check, it was for significantly less than what I paid in office. I called the office/billing manager and she told me that the doctor was actually out of network, but they will try to bill insurance. I should have verified Dr. Carpenter was in network, but I took the word of her front office and it ended up costing me more than $200.
