Extremely inconsiderate and unprofessional company! Especially for job applicants. Theyll call you for weeks on end for info, get your hopes up, and even set up interviews for positions not even available. Not even the courtesy of a phone call to inform me there was no job offer (for me) after all and to not bother wasting my time. Not an email, text, nothing. Just pure inconsideration from at least 6 Olin employees involved. Upon walking in for my SCHEDULED interview, I was immediately dismissed and basically told to kick rocks, position had already (supposedly) been filled. Blessing in disguise as quite clearly, this is NOT a company that would value my time in any way, shape or form. Im thrilled at the fact that I not only spent a lot of time on this but also spent money on clothes and a haircut as most would in this case. Quite disgusted by the way this was handled, or rather, not. In a day and age when expenses/resources are at an all time high and everyones strapped for time, its not just professionalism that is expected (and from such a largely regarded company) but rather, its called HUMAN DECENCY! A simple phone call would have sufficed. Or maybe just interview ALL the people that YOU SCHEDULE and EXPECT to be there, with no compensation. HIGHLY unprofessional and 110% COMPLETELY unnecessary. I wouldnt waste your time even applying here. Your time and effort, evidently, will not be valued.
