My go-to stylist was booked up so decided to give AK a try and booked a silk press. Definitely not type 4 or thick hair friendly at all. During the washing process, my scalp felt like it was being scratched raw from her nails, the detangling process wasnt any better and she detangled my hair from root to tip instead of tip to roots like you would usually do with thick type 4 hair. I felt like my hair was being ripped out. The blow-dry process was extremely rushed and rough and my hair wasnt blown out properly. Had to press my hair twice and complained she couldnt keep my hair straight when my go-to stylist was able to get my hair straight with one pass with the flat iron, AK had to do two passes. Never even used a hot comb to press my roots so my roots werent straight. My hair looked like it was just blown out when I was finished but didnt bother asking her to fix it because it was clear she did the best she could. By the time I got home, my hair started to frizz.

Went to get my 3yo starter locs with Star. She was awesome and very patient with him. They were very neat and look amazing. We will definitely be going back for his touch ups. Service: Dreadlocks
