Took my beagle to Dr. long office because I felt he had pneumonia early Monday morning. Was told that Dr. could not see him no avaliable appointments. My dog was having extremely hard time breathing. I left and called Dr. Reese in Trinity ( shorty has never been a patient at this clinic) and they said how fast can you get him here. Just shows the true care and love for the patients. I have been a patient for over 30 years of Dr. Longs but not any more.

Update: Was seen at a different vet clinic and when they reviewed the bloodwork that Long Vet did, they informed me that my cat was in Stage 2 renal failure. Long Veterinary completely missed it. They were so concerned about giving my cat narcotics that she didn't need they completely missed that her kidneys were shutting down. I would strongly caution you against using Long Veterinary Clinic. We had a very bad experience with them. My cat has a canine tooth that is slowly dislodging and coming out and I took her in to schedule surgery to remove it. They gave me an estimate and we scheduled the procedure. The day of I asked them to leave off two things that were listed on the estimate. One was an antibiotic which I didn't think she needed because I requested and was given antibiotics at her presurgical and she was also being given an antibiotic injection during the surgery. The other was a four day pain reliever which is an opiod and seemed extreme for a tooth that was already mostly out. And was also the third pain medicine they were going to give her. Just seemed excessive. The vet called me and questioned why I wanted to leave those off and I gave those reasons and she said I was denying my cat proper care, and if we didn't do all of the pain medicine she wouldn't take the tooth out at all. I asked about an alternate pain medication that was not an opiod and she said no, it had to be the stronger (more expensive) one. I asked that they please still do the procedure, but if anything we talked about was optional then just leave it off. I called back and spoke to another vet to get his opinion and he was even more severe, and said I was being cheap and didn't mind if my pets suffered for it. I don't think it is cheap to bring your cat in for a $600 dental just to remove a tooth that is already falling out. He said the state would audit him if I declined all of the pain meds. I told him to just say that then, that it was not optional, but it was bad manners to make it seem like I was being cheap or a bad owner to not want it. But because I even questioned it they refused to do the dental, and sent my cat home with a rotten tooth. I am baffled that a business would treat someone this way, and even more surprised that a veterinarian would be so rude about an owner's question. I know they probably have a bottom line they have to meet, but it is dishonest to sneak in extra charges and unnecessary medication and then make owners feel guilty for declining it. And, for all the talk about wanting what is best for my cat, they sent her home with a painful infected tooth.
