Dr. Rahimi performed surgery to destroy an extensive blood clot (groin to knee) on me a couple of weeks ago. Needless to say, this experience was terrifying and nervewracking yet his calm and caring demeanor eased my fears. Every time he interacted with me during my hospital stay, he took the time to explain everything in a thorough and understandable manner. I truly cannot thank him enough for practically saving my life. I will be seeing him in follow up in a few weeks and hope to convey my appreciation to him in person. On another note, I am not at all pleased with the ability to secure an appointment through his appointment desk. The department for which he works apparently has a poorly and inadequately staffed appointment center (I was told they only have 2 schedulers for 13 physicians...I truly hope not as that is not an effective way to run a practice). The week after I was discharged I called to make my hospital follow-up appointment only to be told I had to leave a message, I left messages on 3 separate days (with no return calls after each one) and by the 4th call, I was finally transferred to the appointment desk because I insisted on speaking to someone. Mind you, this was about 10 days after discharge and he'd asked to see me 14 days post-surgery. I think he is a wonderful surgeon but the appointment desk needs major improvement.
