Dr.Barnes and his team impressed me. From the first consultation visit to the day of my procedure. Dr. Barnes is polite, professional and above all concerned about patient comfort. I will not hesitate to recommend this office to friends and family.

The previous post is correct about Dr. Barnes Staff. I have left three messages and no one returns phones calls. It also seems no one follows thru on prescriptions that they are suppose to submit. Whoever is the office manager needs to get ahold of this really quick before it spirals out of control rapidly. Being part of a medical group it won't be long before word gets out about the poor customer service they keep performing towards their patience after care.

Dr Barnes is an outstanding Dr but every time you call his office...and I mean EVERY time...all you ever get is a recording that tells you to leave a message. I have left 7 messages over a 4 day period and NOBODY returns calls. I actually had to drive across town to the office to schedule an appointment! My pharmacist has requested a refill 2 time in the past week because they forgot to send my prescription over after my last appointment and it still hasn't been filled. Going to have to take ANOTHER day off work because the staff at Dr Barnes' office either doesn't know what they are doing or doesn't care!

A thousand dollars poorer and I still do not have a plan to move forward. I fired Dr Barnes today. The guy is in the business of selling surgical procedures and is actively promoting only one type when dealing with prostate enlargement. There was no discussion of the pros and cons of other available options. While his bedside manner is better than some, he also has a problem with arrogance, and the need to always be right. It's not an endearing trait, Doctor Barnes. Like several doctors in recent years, I found his staff to be more of a problem than he was. Appointment desk experience was fine, business office experience was fine, but his nurse never returned my calls with regards to the medications prescribed, and I called at least four times over the course of a week. I never heard back on any of my messages, and until this last message, I made an effort to be pleasant. For the doctors reading this, please manage your staff. Its not simply enough to hire them and assume they are doing their jobs. You need active quality control checks (besides the financials) in place, and I am not seeing that 4 times out of five. Your staff reflect on your reputation sometimes more than you do. You can be a great physician, but if your staff repeated fails in their tasks, you will be rendered ineffective.
