Brought in my 98 ranger for an alignment. I just installed new rack&pinion, outer tie rods. Bled and flushed power steering. Then new fluid. Everything torqued according to the chilton manual.
Whatever lazy tech did the alignment did decided not to unclip the boot, or press the tie rod end out. Now the boost is severely twisted and wrapped around itself. This will cause the rubber boot to FAIL. This will cause the part to fail. Photos posted. I know both were fine before this shop because I was under there checking for leaks.
