Terrible company to work with/for. I witnessed supervisors stealing time from customers, inebriated employees working with heavy machinery, and a total lack of communication with both employees and customers. This a family owned business that prefers nepotism over fair observation. This company is also unfamiliar with US laws. I was threatened with a loss of job if I were to talk about my pay with other employees. We were threatened with repercussions if we exercised our Texan right to a one-consenting party recording. Furthermore this company violates workers rights to fair wages. They massively underpay anyone that they can take advantage of. In one case, there was a $6 difference in hourly wages between two employees of the same level with the same responsibilities. My last thought is this: MCA has no respect for mental health. I lost my job after having a mental breakdown. I asked to talk to somebody for help navigating the workplace in my declined state but instead they fired me. This company is highly unethical and I strongly recommend that you stay away from MCA, whether you are looking for work or looking for a communications contractor. Especially in Austin, the crew out there loves to be inebriated while working. Edit: the company also steals time from employees. I was refused pay for my first day, and supervisors would frequently change actual hours worked to a lesser time that would fit their budget.
