    I was disappointedon my visit to the CAC yesterday. When I walked into the building I was checked in by a security guard. Her demeanor was unprofessional and seemed like she didn't want to be bothered with questions. She directed me to another person, at the first front desk, and she also seemed bothered by my questions. These are the first people that represent the CAC and their demeanor was callous and cold. They clearly did not want to be bothered. As I walked in to check into the 2nd front desk I was met with the same demeanor. I am concerned with this callus, cold, and outright aggressive behavior some of these employees showed. It is not a good look for the CAC to have people that are unprofessional as first line representatives. I recently went to a meeting where Lisa Bourgoyne, Program Director, spoke to the community and I clearly heard Lisa state the CAC was supposed to be a place you can walk into and begin a healing process. I think the CAC front desk personnel missed the mark. Is this a one time incident or is this the culture of the CAC? The public is made to believe that it is a place where the healing begins. I am requesting that someone please speak to their front desk staff. As first line representatives for the CAC this cannot be their demeanor. What are victims feeling when they walk and are faced with these demeanors?I write this to encourage change. This can't be what victims and their families first feel when they come into the CAC. This goes against everything the CAC is supposed to stand for.
