Ive only worked with Dr. Penciu and hes been great but the billing department is absolutely terrible. They sent me a bill last week (its November 2023) for services received at the start of 2022 claiming I have additional charges because I was not covered by insurance during that period. Somehow this discrepancy never manifested in the actual bills I received nor did anyone notify me that my insurance info was out of date. While I have no documented record of communicating my insurance info to them because I likely did this over the phone no discrepancy was ever communicated to me until just last week. Yesterday I followed up with them to show proof of coverage for 2022 only to have them say they cant submit the claim as its now November 2023 and that I need to pay.

The office and scheduling was fine but the doctor was awful. I wish there had been reviews on Lifestance's website, as I looked him up after my appt and he was very poorly reviewed. It seems like many of their doctors are recently licensed, so not as experienced as a private practice. My advice would be to look online at reviews for the doctor they assign you before committing to booking. Copays aren't cheap these days, waste of money and time.
