Dr. CHIA, was my daughter pediatrician, we absolutely love her my daughter is now 22, and we are referring all her friends baby's to Dr. Chia. Thank you for caring so much

We are a deployed family abroad. We were in Houston for a medical procedure and scheduled an appointment for our infant who had developed a skin condition. We had to wait two days to get on the schedule. We are unfamiliar with the city and were running late. We called at our appointment time noting we would be 10 to 15 minutes late at least. We were 20 minutes late. The doctor would not see us. This is embarrassingly poor customer service and they should be ashamed of themselves. Do not go to see Dr. Chia ever. She does not respect this country our it's patriots. Her whole office should be ashamed.

Dr. Chia is by far worthy of more than 5 stars. We love her and the ease of mind she gives us as parents. Even if we are not able to schedule an appointment with her, we enjoy the other physicians in the group. Unfortunately, 4 stars is due to the front desk experience. When we come in for appointments, overall everyone has been polite, but what is not sitting well is when: - I was called once (1-2 days) before our appt to reschedule due to Dr. Chia being out (not a problem). I missed the call, because I thought it was another reminder after I already confirmed the appt via text. Apparently my voicemail was full, so when I came in for our appt, I was told by the front desk they tried to reach me, but could not leave a msg because my voicemail was full. I was then told twice to clear my voicemail by the front desk. Fair point, but I did not appreciate the tone and the way it came across. - EveryDayWell Portal: apparently I opted out of the portal for my daughter, which I am really scratching my head about because I am portal heavy when it comes to my physicians. Asked the front desk to please send me an invite for my daughter, I was then told (again in a tone I did not appreciate) that I opted out. "You opted out, so no invite was sent over." I asked to speak to a manager, they were busy (no problem), but it has been over five hours and no call back. Summary: Dr. Chia, her colleagues, MAs, nurses have been great. I just have had some rough spots with the front desk, which have been unsettling. There is a far better way to communicate with patients aka ones bringing in business. I work in healthcare, so I understand the demand of all staff roles within a group. But more mindfulness needs to be practiced, and the "patient/customer is always wrong mentality" needs to be extinguished.
